Game 7 vs Wan United

4 Northern Bullets - J.Sutton (2), A.Bradley (2)
10 Wan United

A game with lots of goals, most of them for Wan United! However, we created lots of chances and should have scored more than the 4 goals we got.

Summer 2010 season (Game 6) - Conspiracy

Conspiracy went into this game riding high in the league - with 3 victories and 1 draw from their first 5 games. Things were not looking good for us, especially as we were awaiting the arrival of our goalkeeper and player manager. As 3 o'clock approached, both of our goalkeeping options had still not arrived, so top scorer Craig volunteered to go in goal. It also meant that we only started with 4 players, but luckily, only 4 players had turned up for Conspiracy too.

The game kicked off and we were playing well. Conspiracy, though, scored with their first shot. Finally, Lee and Adam arrive for the bullets, but players arrived for Conspiracy too, meaning that both teams were at full strength. It didn't take long for Craig, now playing outfield, to equalise. He went on to complete his second hat-trick of the season. Conspiracy scored another, so at 3-2 to us, the game is still up for grabs.

Jay gets fouled, but the referee lets play go on and the ball kindly rolls to James, who hits a first time shot into the bottom right corner. It's 4-2! Conspiracy pull another goal back at the end, but we hold on to our first victory of the season.

Summer 2010 season - games 3-5

The next 3 games were always going to be tough - playing Hungerford (current league leaders) and The Imperial twice (last season's champions). We didn't get anything out of these games, except for a little pride from keeping the scores respectable, against good opposition.

Game 4 - Northern Bullets 0 v 2 The Imperial
Game 5 - Northern Bullets 0 v 2 Hungerford

In between, we also had a cup game against new team Ronnie Anthony. We lost it by 8-2, so we wont mention anymore about that game! We're obviously concentrating on the league!

Summer 2010 season (Game 2) - C Five

Game 2 was against C Five and we welcomed a new player to the team. Craig Price made an immediate impact - scoring a hat-trick on his debut. The score is 4-4 with a minute or so to go, and then we take the lead! Surely, a victory is on the cards - a great way to bounce back after losing 13-1 the previous week. We all decide to sit back and to hold on to the victory. C Five kick off and none of us close them down. They bring the ball forward a few steps before unleashing, what will be, the final shot of the game. The shot deflects off Craig and wrong-foots our keeper Lee. 5-5!

Summer 2010 season

The new season begins with a match against British Lion - the team who finished second from bottom last season. We, potentially, could get the new season off to a good start. However, only 4 players turned up, so we knew it was going to be very hard to get anything from the game! British Lion took the lead, inevitably, but then we hit back! A pass from James fed Steve who cooly slotted home. The pre-season optimism justified? Not quite, as British Lion then hit 12 more goals without reply!

Finals games of the winter league

There are only two games left of the winter league - both of which will be played tomorrow. The results wont affect our final position in the league, but we could have a say in who becomes champions.
